Where can i buy replacement straps for . .

a hunting breastplate martingale?

I seemed to have misplaced over the years the straps that attach the martingale to front of saddle. Dont really want to buy a new one for sake of it.

can anyone help?

I've only ever seen the martingale attachments for sale but i bet an old fashioned cobbler could make you some and would be cheaper no doubt than a saddler.

Apart from real thing being a bit thicker/more solid perhaps basically an old flash or similiar strap with a buckle on it would do same job too?

I think some tack shops carry them, otherwise a saddler would be able to make some for you - I like Haffy's idea of an old flash strap as they aren't really any different
