I am pretty sure my hat will be out of date by now (plus I want a new one). I obviously don't compete or do anything that requires it to be fancy but don't want something too naff. Any suggestions boys and girls?
Also debating on one of the lightweight ones that looks like a bike helmet??

Hi Becca, nice to see you around! I swear by my Troxel, I'm on about number six now ... I favour the Legacy Gold cos it's traditional looking and I can wear it everywhere but I bought the boy the Spirit which is funkier (which the teenager now uses as a skullcap covered with a silk....) Had to get the teenager a new SJ helmet after a tumble recently and was mightily impressed to get a CSO from Equestrian Clearance for just £35!!!!! They are at least €90 here ....

Another vote for troxels from me. I've got the Sierra though as i like the western styling....not as keen on the price compared to the legacy but hey ho! The new 2012 one looks quite funky too!

I have a Champion, I think it is a ventair, which is great. It's my second and I would definately get another. I had the Dublin Onyx once which was great for keeping your head cool but I didn't really like the shape too much.

I have a Troxel and don@t like it at all; very light but just looks awful on me. I love my Harry Hall Legend; comfy, light and not expensive Zx

Just found a very funky HH legend on Ebay new from one of the 'saddlerys' grey and red. Can I get away with a funky hat when I'm not a hardcore show jumper?

Funky hats are cool, I'm looking at one of those you get stickers for . I have a charles owen show type hat which I adore but need a new one after falling on me head, ot my best idea to date.
