Gosh it's wet, first time ever we have to keep horses in today! It is so bad, soaked through to knickers yesterday! How can I get out to ride in this? It's torrential, and windy too!

I think it may be my fault. I started riding Savvy again therefore she has been doing her rain dance, it seems to bloody work. We were praying for rain for the grass but this is extracting the wee wee.

it does seem absurd to be in drought since it's done nothing but rain for forever now but i guess problem is half the time it's so heavy it just runs off and it's the rivers that are full to bursting rather than it being useful! Hopefully, as long as it dries up some point, should be a decent hay year (in terms of it growing at least!) fingers crossed.

My poor car almost drowned today!! The road turned into a big puddle, which turned into a river which then seemed to turn into an ocean, but I was 3/4 of the way through so we made our way slowly out the other side and thankfully the water didn't start coming in the door and no engine flooding. PHEW!!! Those who said we needed rain, surely that's enough now??
