I always thought tail protection was for poncy horses but now that Paco is travelling quite regularly the silly @rse is rubbing his tail away on the rear bar of the trailer (he leans on it a lot to keep his balance as we cover some really rough ground).
Anyone got one for sale that is just gathering dust as the back of a cupboard?

Don't have any spare tail guards but do have tail bandages if that would be of any use?
I have the same problem with Boo when he travels. He loves a road trip but he tends to use the rear bar as a seat as he's too lazy to carry himself. As soon as he goes in and its done up he settles on his bottom for the journey and also if its particularly midge like outside he'll use it as a handy scratching post.

tail bandages are cheap and cheerful and do the job! i think any type of tail guard/bandage is liable to slip unless its one of those guards that have a strap to attach to a roller/rug. so i dont think it will matter if you use a guard or a bandage really.

I can't be @rsed with bandages - want a quick n easy velcro fastening. The teenager's got one (natch) and I want to steal it except she uses it all the tine for Jana.

I might have got one...my sister bought it yonks ago for a TB she was riding for a friend (no idea why he needed a tail guard as he never travelled, but hey). She has since moved on and no longer needs it. I kept it with the intention of possibly using it on Faith but if I remember rightly her tail is too thick and the dock too bony for it to fastena round. I haven't a clue what size it is (if they have sizes?), but I could rummage around to see if I could find it if you wanted?
