Well i think it's officially silly season again. Had a rather 'lively' hack yesterday, with both of them behaving like idiots for the first half...silly when we passed a tractor, because they don't see hundreds of them on a daily basis of course , pair of them leaping around and behaving like prats in general as we proceeded (think i managed to trot with each of his legs working on different tracks at one point we were so sideways ) before being scared stiff of a dog (it was nearly as big as Harry to be fair) - after that they settled down and decided to behave in a more sedate manner i'm pleased to say and we wandered home steadily and nicely relaxed all round. Made the blunder of not rugging last night (they have been naked for a few weeks now) and this morning someone had stolen harry and replaced him with a swamp monster, cue no way we could ride till he dried off....just about to try again so fingers crossed he's dried up and stayed away from the mud! Theres an ER at other side of village today so we shall be needless to say doing our best to avoid it after yesterdays antics.

I wonder is it something in the grass or is it just the smell of growth and new life but they all go crazy in spring. I am glad yours settled down fairly soon. Poor Harry the swamp monster - strangely (and it is very strange) we don't have much mud at the moment

It can't be just the grass as Paco never gets to eat the stuff but he's tippy-toed at the moment too!
I love the image of the swamp monster .... got one of my own in the paddock too!
