What does everybody do with minor, small cuts/sores/rubs/bald patches on their horses? Just random ones you might find when grooming.
I used to put cream/powder on it (usually either wound powder, botanica skin cream or sudocrem) obviously giving the area a bit of a wash first.
Or are you safer just leaving it and letting nature take its course? Obv keeping an eye on it to ensure it doesnt become infected!

clean it and bung some savlon or hypercal on
rubs - i would get rid of the offending rug before it rubbed the hair away! Maybe i'm lucky i find good quality ones fit well and you don't get this problem, same with making sure tack/equipment is kept clean.

Mine have what appear to be rubs but are actually from play fighting in the field! Always clean and cream if skin broken!

If it's still fresh I generally just clean the area and give it a spray with antibacterial fluid if small and minor- if just a tiny surface wound I'd just clean it.If its a cut thats been buried unnoticed in winter fluff and isn't weepy or hot I'd just leave it alone entirely. If you suspect lice though thats different as the cause needs treating as well as the sores

I always wash cuts / grazes with hibiscrub, rinse, dry and apply whichever horsey cream, gel or spray i have on the go. I'm currently using a spray in green bottle made by Horseware. AJ is prone to getting sore under his elbows if he sweats a lot and I apply cream to these areas.

I always wash out cuts daily, really thoroughly, as you can imagine they go 'off' quickly here. I will hose out a deeper cut, scrubbing with red Betadine and then I apply Betadine gel.
