Brought the boys in early today as Brave and Chompy were having their flu jabs
there was a lot of tail swishing from Brave as as I changed his rugs and a couple of what sounded like hiccups
as I had never heard of a horse hiccuping before I thought I would ask the vet when he came.
The answer is yes horses can get the hiccups, it doesn't happen very often but they do, and just like us they also get over it themselves

I never knew it either until my boy got them when he was getting work done by the mctimoney lady I use. She also said it's not very common but she does have a few get them when she works on them, looks most peculiar.
