We did our 2nd novice test yesterday (1st real one as the last one was a disaster as I had learn't the wrong test) and we came 4th with 66.5%. I was really proud of him and we even got a 9 for one movement! Judges comment was "a lovely horse with nice canter work". Not bad for a 21 year old!

I'm as intrigued as Flea RE:the 9. Whatever that was for, it must have been a good movement!!! Well done on the 4th, and yay for Nobbie

Well you have to laugh we got a 9 for trot to halt immobility for 4 secs and proceed in medium walk, so basically we got a 9 for not moving! She said it was a good transition and very relaxed square halt but i think maybe he was just confused as to why we were stopping halfway round. We also got a couple of 8's for canter work changing the rein through a couple of trot strides so that was good. Although it was unaffiliated the judge was BD Listed so that makes it all the better. Xx

Thats excellent - as zara says dont dumb it down, transitions are really hard to get good marks and especially the halt! thats good for the canter work as well! Well done!
