I am TRYING to buy a heritage comfort bridle (has anyone any experience of them? they look really well made and comfy) but I only want cavesson and can only find flash - however, one says, with crank noseband - I dunno what this is (it may be really obvious when someone says!

You can use them like a normal noseband, leaving them loose, or if you use them correctly they will prevent them from crossing their jaws, and opening their mouths to a certain extent - that is when done up overly tight.

Nah i wouldnt be It gives abit of nice padding for horses noses anyway. Ive got a Rhinegold comfort bridle which has a crank on it, it was meant to cost £55 or something, but the leather just has an ikky brown colour to it, otherwise i would have nicked it by now!

if you do get one ceej please dont do it up tight they are hideous things which place a lot of stress on the nasal bones. I hate them as much as Brig hates flashes!!
