;D ;D ;DNew year's resolution is always to fit in more riding. It has started well! Been out this morning on our own for an hour and a half. While the world slept off a hangover, Pete and I did a bit of bonding. First solo ride since October! Thank you Peter for looking after me! Weather pretty grim now,so really extra pleased with myself, anyone elsr managed a new year first ride?

Mine too! Well, one of them ......  Just got back a bit late but had such a wonderful wander around in the sunshine - boy it was warm - 18C!  Paco got back all sweaty (naughty me ) so did the silly thing of putting him into the winter paddock with a string vest on, which within seconds was shredded and stuck in the bushes   |

lol at the rug!
I've had nice end of year and start of year hacks too over last two days. Forgot to have one last ride on Harry yesterday (feels like i've ridden him very little this year with the solid ground as i often school him normally even if J mainly hacks him) so started the year by swopping and therfore riding both Today.

Took tordi out this morning and we both got very cold and wet! Waterproof chaps still wet from washing y'day and didn't put waterproof exercise sheet on as very windy and would've probably finished up over my head  Was great to get out though for first hack of 2012 x |

i had written out a big long reply and then my internet decided it wanted to go to sleep so here is a shortened version of it.....
basically took beattie boo for a ride on new years day and came back ten mins later soaked to the bone after the heavens opened on us. i am not a fair weather rider but that rainfall was enough to put the hardiest rider off riding! on the plus side we had a few strides of extended trot on the way home as i pushing her to go faster and faster so i could warm and dry sooner!!!
