My Mum bought me these ice grippers.... they are fab. ;D
Just walked with total confidence up the road to field where it is literally a sheet of thick ice, I only realised how good they were when I watched someone else slithering and skidding down past me. I also walked through the deepest mud many times and they stayed on.
Have just ordered another pair, so I've got muddy ones for horse things and can have a clean pair for getting to work. I think you can pick them up cheap from bargain stores like home and bargain etc, or very cheap on ebay. They are very tight to fit first time but it gets easier each time.

Don't suppose you've got a link to where I could find some? I saw some a while ago and thought they were rather cool but now I cannot for the life of me remember where I'd seen them! Good to hear you're getting on well with them ...wonder if they do horsey versions? (or do you think they might just call those 'studs'?)
