Yesterday it finally came together for the teenager. There was a complet just next door to the club so the team hacked their horses there. The 20 minutes or so it took seemed to really help both ponies and even Jana did a decent dressage test. She got marked down for a rubbish halt and the size of one circle but there were a lot of good scores in there.
Jana was brilliant in the SJ and XC and came in second overall, very thrilling. Racaille brought down three bars, which was a shame, but at least it wasn't quite the demolition derby we are used to!
It was pretty hairy changing from one pony to the other though and we are all realising (that means the teenager is LOL!) that competing two ponies on the same day is not really feasible. They are both going to Sunday''s complet near Orange (groo, it's a long haul) but after that she will only do one at a time. Jana is not far off qualifying for the Championnats now, so we shall see if R can get there (but this is really a long shot!)
It was a lovely day (not weather-wise, it started off cold and damp so close to the river) as I saw lots of people I know. ;D And the teenager was over the moon with her result - but it was also lovely how the team pulled together, particularly swapping the horses over, couldn't have done it without some serious help. ;D
There are some nice pix I will wrestle from the camera .....

Fab result. I think not having your transport also makes it tricky, if I hack Ed anywhere and have to hang on to her it makes the simplest things tricky.

well done, great result - how did she manage to hack to ponies over (ride and lead) or did Rac have to stay behind

She roped in a chum to hack R over there - we had thought of taking him in hand but it was probably wisest not to!
