We have been without a dog since August last year and are now very keen to have one again. I have put my name down at the springer spaniel welfare south east branch! Home check happens today, very excited. ;D

Its so nice getting a new dog, my new pup is fantstic, despite the poo and pee! Hubby wanted an older one as he doesnt do poo and pee very well, or the first sleepless night when it whimpered and the scruffy terrier joined in with a tuneless howl, but its all part and parcel of it for me. Good luck with the home visit!

Oh how exciting Sol. Just out of curiousity, why a springer spaniel? Other than being absolutely gorgeous I don't really know much about the breed.

I had one before and he was the best dog I have ever had. They are ppretty energetic, but i like that. Also they are very affectionate. Just love 'em.

They are great - Ive got two - Otter and Puffin they are such good fun and good company love them to pieces!

I think dogs are up there as the best animals ever, maybe second behind horses  . Getting Bailey was one of the best things we ever did and we love him to bits. Good luck, hope you get a really great doggy |

Home check done, waiting to hear when we can go and meet Jessica and Bramble. Two eight year old sisters. One black and white one liver and white. Springer spaniels. So excited!

Ooh how exciting. I love Springers and when I am eventually in a position to have a dog, that is what I want. Lovely dogs.

How wonderful!!! And two at once! You have to be a special dedicated type to take on springers ;D as they are bouncy bouncy bouncy ... but then I specialise in rescue boxers and you can't get madder than that. It's a really rewarding thing taking on rescue dogs, so well done you Sol. Not to say I can't fall in love with a pup too - I still cherish my memories of my two boxer sisters who I got at 8 weeks, a little present to myself after all the difficult rescues I'd had. Despite the poo and pee (and the destroyed home furnishings :  I LOVED those girls so much. RIP Ludo and Clem  |

We are going to see them on Saturday, yay! Pics when I have been although you can see them on www.essw. Jess and Bramble. Ownwer still has them so it may be emotional on Saturday, hopefully knowing us will help. |

They are GORGEOUS!!!! I've always liked springers...I just don't have the time or room to have such an energetic doggy  . If I had my own land and had Faith at home then it might be a different story...  . Hopefully saturday will be a happy day instead of a sad one, although the fact that the current owner still feels attached to the girls is quite a good sign (better than them leaving the dogs in a kennels and walking away). Looking forward to the pictures of the gorgeous girlies!!! |
