I have bought a bit of hay and plan to experiment with steaming it. I think Brig recommended how to do this with the aid of a kettle and a dustbin. Could you go through this again for me please?

Sol I did it last year in a dustbin. Put your haynet in then pour over two kettles of boiling water replacing the lid immediately after each one. Then just leave it until you need it. I used to do mine in the morning then take them out in the evening. Smells yummy! I did find a standard dustbin to be quite tricky to fit the haynets in so had to get a bigger one - though I did think this year about trying a wheelie bin.

Sol, Brig gave me the info too. I do as Scatty says but I don't always steep it for as long - perhaps 2/3hrs and its damp through and Murphy loves it.
