Not a big thing for most but very proud of my little boys today as went their separate ways for a short distance out riding which is a huge step for them. We have two paths in wood which run parallel in a triangle shape starting off about 1m apart and ending up about 20ish metres at other end before a path joins them again. They have done it before [once] but in the dead of winter on same path when it is possible to see each other at all times/get to other path if need be via a little off roading. But today it's so overgrown with bracken inbetween not to mention with the trees being in full bloom there were lots of points when they couldn't see other at all and it's not a clear view at any point . Both were really calm and sensible and actually choose to go separate ways hence we just let them. Kept looking for one another, especially Murph, and both stopped a couple of times towards the end when they could no longer make any visual contact but moved on when asked and remained cool, calm and collected. We didn't have a girlie squealing reunion either which is odd in itself...maybe they had a lovers tiff overnight

Aww well done. I think it's nice that they're bestest friends, but it's good to have some time to themselves too

This is great Haffy . My boys don't like to be separated either but I've been walking them in seperate directions / down different roads and trying to lengthen this each time. Murphy seems the more stressed but I think he was on his own for so long, he would practically die now if it were to happen again. I feel very guity but my options at the time were restricted.

Don't feel guilty you do all you can for them, you can do no more.
