took Brave off to a dressage competition last night. Its the 1st time we have been out competitivly in almost 12 months. I was pleased witht the test and the way I rode but because we were at the beginning of the class and Abi was having a bad day, we didn't hang around for the results as the class was going on for another hour after we had finished. Friends were going to pick up my test sheet as I wasn't expecting much being the first time out and a number of the horses were also doing the novice class. Well much test sheet was duely delivered this morning along with a rosette. we came 2nd!!! with 63%, Scored 5's for some of our canter work which was a little unbalanced mainly because my stomache muscles still aren't up to scratch and I find myself tipping forward in canter. rest were 6's and 7's with a 7 for the free walk. so ver very pleased, especially as I went with the attitude that we are schooling and nothing more. Good boy Brave!

Congratulations on a great result Fi.
Core mussles (tummy) take a while to strengthen so even giving a test ago is a really big achievement.
Your horsey is brill too. Love the pics, you look so happy.
