Pete came in with an over-reach wound yesterday. He has never done it before. Washed it and slathered with sudocrem. Any other tips? Weirdhe did it in the field.

Ouch poor Pete. I've not had a horse that over reaches before but sounds like you did the right thing. Is he due shoeing? I *think* this can sometimes be a cause if he doesn't normally do it. Or he could have just had a moment of over exuberance and caught himself.

Sounds like he was pratting around with his mates! Has he been newly shod? Might be an idea to turn him out with cloche boots on for a few days after he has new shoes - I really like the cheap soft neoprene-ish ones from Decathlon.
