I'm considering applying for university in September for entry in 2012. I love history and would like to continue studying it but had a thought the other day that it Equine Business Management might tickle my fancy and I could do History and EBM jointly.
I suppose the business element will be useful even if i dont use it in a horsey capacity but if i ever decide to go down the horse career path (even just on the side) this would be useful perhaps. I did business studies for GCSE and i found it very boring so maybe EBM wouldnt be such a good idea?
Other equine courses include sciencey ones (nah), behaviour (nah) and coaching (nah). (I think I should just accept that I dont have the ability or confidence to teach horse riding!)
Im not really sure that deciding on these two subjects will really get me anywhere - they are sort of completely unrelated!
I would consider Politics but not pure Politics - from what I have seen so far, it seems to have a better graduate job prospect than pure History.
Maybe an administrative type course would be better? I see theres a Public Administration course which would probably be useful?
Anyway, I suppose the question im looking an answer for is - do you think History and Equine Business Management would be a good choice? I know that it will limit the amount of places that I could go to which may affect the standard of teaching on the History course, if that makes sense
Also, do you think Politics or Administration are good ideas for subjects to choose?
I really dont know how to start doing this research into Uni but i think mostly every uni in the UK does history and i dont really care where I go (including republic of Ireland) so...i have a bit of a dilemma!
Any advice much appreciated
