I have booked to do a class at Ingliston on 9 July, Prelim 15, designed to be ridden in the bigger arena 60 x 20. I was reading it last night and on the face of it doesn't sound too onerous.. BUT, where is P and where is S and am I being a bit ambitious guys?? Haven't competed since last September, and that was Combined Training - dressage was Prelim 10, one of the easiest. Of course I will have my new magic saddle by then - that will make all the difference.. ...... ;D

Never a pest BB, we're here to answer questions . Am I righ in thinking P and S are along the middle line, one between A and x, the other between X and C? Or are they along the edge...? Oooh I dunno! Probably a good job you googled it because I'm no help at all Good luck with the test, I'm sure you'll do just fine. Like you say, you'll have your magic saddle by then

Sounds interesting BB - a bit more of a challenge! I wonder why they have a Prelim in a long arena tho? Is that not for more advanced riding?

Youll love it BB more chance for him to find his stride and you can let him be a bit more forward going! Have I missed something about the saddle?

Just googled 60x20 dressage markers and apparently I'm completely wrong! (good job you already knew the answer before I responded lol). According to the diagram I found the markers go in clockwise order C (as normal at end of centre line), M, R, B, P, F (down right hand side of the arena), A (as normal at other end of centre line), K, V, E, S, H (up the left hand side of the arena), with the centre line from C following G, I, X, L, D down to A. Here's a link to the diagram I found: www.dressage.net.au/arenaquarterline.pdf (dressage.net)
