I took Tordi to his 3rd test yesterday and had entered to do 2 walk and trot tests. I think that maybe my expectations were too high following his 1st two attempts and him being so good thus far. Well despite travelling as good as gold with a different horse and being immaculatley behaved when unloaded he was an absolute pig in his tests 
We had spooking, napping, running backwards, almost crashed into the judges car - I was so embarrassed 
. I think the judge was a little mean with some of her comments but generous that she didn't mention the car incident and just said "left the arena at C". The arena was very spooky so i can forgive him that but the charging around and running backwards was a little over the top! His 2nd test was much better and i personally think it was more than a measly 3% better 
but we did get a 4th rosette for the 1st test as there were only 6 in the class - I didn't see the horse that came 5th; how bad must that have been I thought and the 6th place went to my friend who forgot the test and missed out a movement 
Oh well never mind; next outing in 2 weeks, just hope he books his ideas up or he'll be booking a 1 way ticket on a Parker's lorry back to Spain! Z xx
