Wimpole Pleasure ride

It's that time of year again and once more I decided to risk life and limb by taking Eddie to the pleasure ride - last year it wasn't very pleasurable let me tell you - sitting aboard a snorting plunging dragon is not my idea of pleasure. But with renewed hope of a half decent ride we braved the persistant rain and off we went. After a bit of a nightmare start - a troup of Endurance riders hammering past us before we'd even got out the gate, and Huffy taking a dislike to several guinea fowl running around in the road - we actually had quite a nice ride. She had her moments and got extremely excited everytime we could see other horses in front. But we managed to have a few fabulous canters - it's been so long since we've had suitable ground and this was just perfect. Let them really let off steam up one hill. So we actually quite enjoyed ouselves. The scenery and ground was perfect. No stoney tracks or roads at all. Just ten miles of green fields and woodland. We arrived back soaked through and knackered but very pleased. Think we'll both ache a bit tomorrow!

Souns fab, Glad Ed behaved herself this year but shame about the weather.

Sounds fun, even with the rain. Glad Eddie was better behaved this time round - always good to have a blast!
