When I did my one and only dressage competition. I really enjoyed competing. Loved getting dolled up, Pete was brilliant. Now we no longer have easy access to a school, and no transport I wonder if I will ever compete again? It's lovely where we are now and I really like the YO, the hacking my stable everything else. But... There is always a price to pay. It's unaffiliated at our local centre on Sunday, would be nice to go. We hacked over to the school last weekend but could'nt use it as it was very busy. Oh well, you can't have everything.

I am sure you will get out there and compete again sol, just because you haven't in the past year due to circumstances doesn't mean that you never will it just means that it might be a wee bit longer until you next get the chance. If it comes to it you can always school out on hacks - I find that this is the best time to teach beattie something new or improve on previous skills

Why don't you and your friend with Barney plan to go to a few shows over the summer and club together to hire transport? It would be something to work towards and good fun if you both go together and less expensive.
Can you not hack over to the unaffiliated on Sunday - sorry, didnt really understand that last bit - im a bit slow on it today lol!

Sol I have no school or transport so know how you feel. You need to buddy up with people who have transport - is there anyone at your current yard who would lift share? Or as Flea said club together with someone else and hire transport - though it's not cheap these days
