Went out with Barney and Florrie one of the other liveries today for two hours through the woods. Had a lovely time chatting and ambling through the dappled light. It is ridiculously dry here now, so no cantering at all and Pete wearing tendon boots for first time ever! It was great though just being out and about in the beautiful weather. Good company great horses what more could we want?

Sounds lovely we went for a ride on the forest mostly walk a little bit of trot on the few grassy areas but very peaceful and lovely just to go for an amble round, stood in the stream on the way back to cool them off and try and try to get some moisture into their dry feet!

Yes we do that too. Pete likes to stick his head in the water!

sound idyllic. a good chat and an amble around is just as good as a mad gallopy hack.

We had a lovely walk this morning too - me, the pony and the OH, walked for miles on a new adventure up a track we've never been on before. I think we were out about 1 1/2 - 2hrs and we went that far WE MET A ROAD!!! Faith was fantastic though, even past the bicycle and the cows and the horses and the birds...I love my pony . We came back through the woods and had a few little trots on the lovely bouncy ground (seems the woodland tracks are the only bit the sun hasn't dried out), we paddled in the shallow stream and generally had a fab time just 'hanging out' . We did all this, got back and had Faith turned out in the field before 9 am ;D. Totally agree Sol that there's nothing better than a wander with your pony . I'm glad Pete is being a good boy (but isn't he always )
