Personally i prefer to see a cob "au naruelle" however i suspect that it would be more "correct" to have her plaited or hogged Zx

I think you should trim her up - we were wondering this with Princess and we left her natural but when we got her clipped and trimmed up for selling in the autumn, she looked so much smarter. If you cant bear to hog her i would pull her mane and plait it. feathers off, jaw and ears trimmed, round the coronet band. tail pulled as well. loads easier to groom as well but will require upkeep religiously lol

It really depends on what classes you're going to do. For the likes of riding club pony/best condition etc you could do either. Same for coloured classes. If you're doing a cob class the correct way would be hogged and trimmed.

whatever class you do trim up the underside of the jaw, the armpit hair and the log hairs on the back of the hind legs at the -top this really sharpens the outline and will make a world of difference - otherwise I would leave her un plaited as a cob

Well... after spending an enjoyable afternoon with a lady who shows coloured cobs I would say she needs to be trimmed and hogged for showing, she hasnt enough feather to be classed as traditional. Bear in mind I know nothing about showing but this lady had showed at a decent level. I would have to think you would need to be serious about showing her to do this as she is so pretty as she is, I personally prefer horses as raw as possible (I have to be whipped to plait up!!!) \depends on how serious you are!
