I have had a week off work and managed to ride every day since Tuesday. Pete looking forward to a few days off I think! It's been great though having riding as a normal part of each day. Will miss it. I can ride in the week but it's a faff. Roll on the weekend.

Woo, fantastic. ;D I went for a massive walk today (ended up walking for 2hrs) and went on roads I had never been on before, went past a local livery yard and was thinking about why we never hacked for very far with the horses - they were always pretty short and Princess, if not Kieran as well (at the start anyway) would have been well fit for long hacks. We went for a hack yesterday in the lesson and went up into the woods behind the yard and did loads of cantering and small log/branch jumps - great fun even though i kept getting smacked in the face with trees lol!

It will be hard going back to work.
How's the old bottom with all that saddle work?

Sounds like you had a much more productive week off than I had! We had high winds all week so I didn't ride as much as I intended; neither did I paint the bathroom, clean the house or do the enormous pile of ironing! Rachel x

* Tip for ironing - if you have a tumble dryer, dry clothes in there and stop it just before the cycle has finished. Fold the clothes in a basket or hang them straight up and VOILA, minimal ironing!
