Well we have been lunging and long reining for two weeks now and are long reining around the big fields on his own happily. he is now happily wearing his saddle and has no issues with me leaning over him and he will wander off with me belly down on the saddle. he has settled into his routine and although he still comes in at nights he is perfectly happy if he is the last horse left in or has to come in first and is alone. lunging    long reining    coming home after first time along the road   please ignore the size of my ass!!!! |

Quite right spotti - I normally wear hat but I think I must have thought I already had it on!
He is 16.2 and I use the mounting block! Didn't lean over that day because of lack of hat!

I do that all the time Maxi, wear a cap then forget to change because I think Ive got one on! Guess its just the familiarity of doing it day in day out!
Very impressed with his carriage, really looks to be balanced and forward going. Unusual for a horse so young to hold itself so well without the usual paraphernalia. Lovely start to a lovely project!
