Think the horses fitness program is going well but mine maybe not so well. I'm so stiff and achy right now - both of us had to get off and walk a bit at seperate points on the way home (I crumbled first but J is much younger than I am in my defense! ) Had a lovely couple of hour hack this morning...we weren't planning a long one but we have an ER here at weekend and they had been marking up last night so it would have been rude not to test part of the route for them wouldn't it Surprised me how well they coped actually as thought they would have been tired by the end as we must have covered 8 to 10 miles (probabaly double what we do on average) and they aren't overly fit yet. Murph still found the energy to have a silly moment when were almost home and performed a couple of silly over excited leaps but generally speaking they were perfect! Nice and quiet in the back end of woods too as we have been riding in country park a bit lately and the good weather has brought the tourists out in force (silly kids running along neighing the other day behind us - poor boys didn't have a clue what to do!)

Good ponies. I love the long rides, not so in love with the aches afterwards! They cope well with whatever we throw at them don't they?
