Just got a quote from my new yard, they clean rugs for £5. I have been paying £10, what does everyone else pay?

I'm about to send some off (free collection and delvery) and its £16.20 for clean and re-proof a combo rug. Personally I don't like having outdoor rugs washed but sadly this one stinks! zx

I don't know exactly. I get mine washed, reproofed and repaired and it usually comes to about 25-30 euro. So I don't know how much the actual wash bit is. £5 sounds pretty good value especially when it is done on site and no hawking smelly rugs around in your jeep. Zara- I see you don't like getting the rugs cleaned and I know other people who feel the same way but I suppose I have always got it done so I kind of feel it is necessary - plus I usually need repairs after the winter. I see you have got the duo - can you not wash the insert in a washing machine?

Hi Duckles, I do wash the Duo liners myself but I never normally have the outer cleaned. I'm very lucky in that AJ has never ripped a rug so I haven't needed repairs either; I just hope that Tordi is as good! The rug that is desperate for washing stinks of cat wee and is too offensive to use but is a really good rug so needs must and all ... Zx

You won't get a clean rug for a fiver I promise!! Our business is going well now, but we charge £10 for a stable rug and up to £19 for wash of separate hood turnout and re proof. But we uplift and deliver free of charge and offer a very quick turnaround service with clas packaging. Every rug is washed on its own so £5 hardly covers the energy cost and the products...we pride ourselves on a pristine service and what is the point of anything else? You don't want a dirty rug back do you?

£5 is a bargain. I usually clean mine myself but last time I had one done because it needed repairing as well it was £10 for the wash. That was about 4 years ago though.

£5 is very very cheap so like bonnyben says, is it going to be done well, it costs me £3.90 at local laundrette but I have to take it there and its a real toil. My next rugs are going to have removeable liners, Basil occasionally has a mad half hour in the field and the rugs are simply honking afterwards!
