Oh dear just got back from the horses Barneys frog on his back right foot not looking good at all. It has got holes in it and has gone all soft round the bulbs of his heels. eek! Me thinks we need to get him out of the mud.

I hope Barney is OK. A nice dry (no mud) environment will do him the world of good

Bern's wer like that when I picked his of from his last loan home. Missing half his frog on one foot! Luckily his feet are strong and grow quickly so his new farrier wasn't too worried and they are working on it, hope Barney's feet pick up soon

You may find Stockholm tar useful if in muddy conditions...make sure feet are dry though to start. Unless he has really stinky thrush i wouldnt worry too much.
