Ok well the camping holiday has been hit on the head as no interest from other people  so now we are just going to go on our own holiday. Thinking of a city break - short break around 3 or 4 days - to some European city. Has anyone got any suggestions on interesting cities to visit - a bit of heat is a must! Thanks!  |

Rome, Prague, Venice all great places for a city break, Venice was espeically nice but VERY expensive

My bro and his GF went to Barcelona and they loved it. They are drinking age but went to an older part of the city where all the really interesting architecture is rather than the more club and bars side. Athens - fantastic City - I would recommend staying in the Plaka (the oldest part of the city) The Acropolis is visible 'shadowing' you and only a short walk away as are the old Olympic Stadium and the Temple of Zeus. The little shops are brilliant for Tourists too and sell loads of must have bits of tat  (my best buy was a chess set with greek figures for the pieces - nope I have no idea how to play ;D ) The Acropolis is an absolutely amazing place to visit and the little museum (which i think has had a facelift since we were last there) is fab but then I have a thing about Greek (and Roman) mythology |

I do fancy Greece haffy...it sounds lovely. hmm not sure about Venice if its really dear lol but will look into it.
Where is Florence BD?

No probs but might need a poke as bit forgetful and they are mainly 'paper copies' so will need scanning
