February weather

Heard today that the weather is meant to get really bad in February with the return of snow
Hope this is wrong. Have any of you heard this rumour?
Its not as if the weather has been great this month - in fact the last 2 weeks have been extremely cold and we have had a lot of very hard frosts. I thought spring was finally coming.

yeah have heard this too but have looked at met office and it just says its going to be wet and windy for the rest of Feb. www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ni/ni_forecast_weather.html
but who knows really. it keeps changing.

potential snow at the end of the week here... it has already turned chilly.

Yesterday it wasn't snowing but was weird stuff more like frozen drizzle!

I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad as it just makes everything so much harder and I am now starting to feel like a big fat, out of breath, unfit, lumbering heifer!

we had snow this morning then rain now gales and sleet which is becoming snowier by the minute and the lights are flickering so hope we dont have power cut!! As Finlay says - we will have to watch telly in the dark!

gales have reached up now too, but its kind of a sleety rain which almost garuntees more snow overnight!
