on sat urday night we had our first paying guests stay at our gite they turned up about 11pm but didnt unpack but figured would do it in morning well at about 8.30 sun morning they went out and havent come back so this morning we went into the gite and found the keys just left on the table so they obviously arent coming back but they left no explination my aunt has stayed in there and she is the most fussyist person ever so if there was somthing wrong with it she would of said but i feel really disheartened that they couldnt stay even 24 hrs

People can be so rude can't they... at least they could have said something. Do you have their contact details, I would follow them up to get their feedback.

Don't worry about it. They could have got bad news from home or could be a couple who broke up or changed their mind about the holiday or got sick or something like that. if they didn't like the gite, they more than likely would have told you. But disheartening I agree. You'll have loads of happy appreciative guests soon.

how strange. I am sure that if there was something wrong they would have said. Onwards and upwards, the next ones will be better and happy, some people are just funny without explanation!

duckles, well done for looking on the sort of bright side, i was all ready jump in about how rude that was (even though i still think it was) but to be honest, if i had an emergency i wouldn't hang around for everyone to wake up. I really have to stop and think before i get all het up about things, happening more and more recently! kate, like other have said you will have loads of people staying and loving it soon son don't worry
