We did it! eight miles in one hour forty five minutes. This jump was the worst one he refused it twice hence why I am pulling his teeth out! Over most of the others, some seemed huge, he took me to them. A really genuine horse I have the privelige to own. I feel like I have been run over by a truck today I ache so much! Hope Pete isn't as stiff! One girl fell off her horse ran off and rolled with his tack on-twice! I didn't fall off Yay!

Brilliant, well done you. Pete looks like he is having a ball and you would never have guess he had refused at that fence before.

Fantastic Sol. That fence looks huge to me! I hate x country fences. They seem so much more scary. Glad you had a fun day

Sounds a wonderful run. I am quite envious. Pete looks fantastic and I gather no problem with his lameness. Well done to both of you

Looks and sounds like you had fun. Hope you've lossened up a bit by now. Kind of wish I'd gone now. Couldn't make up my mind and in the end decided that I could take Murph x-country schooling twice for what I'd have had to pay to take him to Candover.

That's the thing about these events I spent £55 to do this and that was with a cheap lift! Could have been three times that if I had hired a lorry. So expensive. It was a great experience though. Glad I did it. Settle back down to some quiet hacking for a bit now. Vet coming again today so fingers crossed we get signed off.

Pretty sure this time it was £15 entry + minimum £20 sponsorship. May have got that wrong as I really only glanced at the schedule.

That's right, but I had to pay for transport, and I bought the photo, optional I know but wanted a memento. It was worth it though.

Took Murph to Three Maids Chasers Course on Saturday. Didn't realise that's where the Candover Sponsored Ride takes place. D'oh! Feeling pretty pleased that I saved £15. Only had to pay £20 to school for as long as I wanted and had the whole place to myself. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone around Winchester area.

Not the same place, Candover was at a huge stately home. There are fixed fences there but mainly they were ones put there for the event.

Well I did think it wasn't the same place but when we got lost on the way there I rang the guy at Three Maids and he said to follow the signs to Sponsored Ride. I was sure the signs said Candover Sponsored Ride. Maybe not then.

Fantastic and the photo is brilliant! You can see he was worried about it by the way he over jumps, probably the dark hole in the middle, but its made a super picture and you did brilliant! Well done you and Pete.
