Had a fantastic day at the show today ;D It was held indoors as the weather was to be bad - it turned out mostly sunny and warm but there was a few bad showers which made me glad we were inside lol!
I was sharing my horse with 2 other people (one was a girl who im friendly with in my lesson) and we got him all spruced up, mum had a go at the tail and it wasnt too bad - a bit slanty and loose but it looked well - most other people didnt plait the tail. He looked really shiny and fab!
I jumped in the Midi Showjumping (65cm) - there were 2 spreads which i was a little nervous about but he jumped them brilliantly! I got a double clear and got a rosette and a bar of dairy milk (yum) and managed to crush it on the lap of honour as i stuck it under my leg to keep it out of the road lol!
Then i was going to do the Maxi (75/80cm) but when i saw it i decided not to lol!! but im gonna aim to do that ;D
I did the Accumulator SJ which was after that and the fences ranged from 40cm to 80cm able to be jumped both ways so no spreads. I think i did a better round than the 65. He rode really nicely and i jumped both the 80cm verticals!! ;D and i wasnt even scared - i loved it! Of course i was the slowest and didnt take any dodgy angles or risky turns lol so i ended up coming 8th out of 9 entrants lol! the 9th person was a wee girl on a pony which didnt want to go over the jumps....*i hide my face in shame* ;D
i got a rosette that says 'special' on it ( ) and another bar of dairy milk.
Very chuffed and loved all the dressing up and plaiting etc! Cant wait to do more!
pics and vids to come....
