It was perfect 7.30am in the woods having a short canter, ground a bit too hard. No flies no sun beating. We were out for an hour and a half. It was bliss. Going at 7.30pm, on Tuesday. 7.30 is the best time either end of the day for us.

Sounds lovely Soloman - do you live near where you ride? I would love to go for an early morning hack in the woods but alas my only hacking is on the roads. I remember years ago hacking in the early morning and it was lovely but it was always a bit of a rush trying to get into work in time so I gave it up. To be truthful, it would have to be very hot for me to think it was too hot to ride. I do enjoy the heat and as I live near the sea, it never really goes higher than 27 or 28 degrees and that would be rare.

He is about 8 miles from home which is fine but work would then be about 12 miles so too far on a work day. I live by the sea too. Amazing how much hotter it feels inland. I love the heat too but really wanted to school and didn't think it would be fair on him. I am gonna hack out after work tomorrow night tho'.
