Flip, well done brig!! What an achievement! I have just done approx 6 mile bike ride unintentionally - tried out a new road, ended up lost and then came out about 3 miles away from home! Knackered - legs feel like lead lol! I share your pain lol!

Know that feeling! Find copious amounts of rosé usually do the trick

Wow 33km. That is some serious riding. Not surprised you are aching. How did Basil behave?

He was a star scatty, very good but a bit strong on the canters when following so need to look at brakes. He was certainly more chilled BB, his heart rate was only forty before the ride which after travelling is fantastic.Mind you the vet (a different one) couldnt get a reading after so made it up. We did Helmsley Haffy, as a pleasure ride but competitively to see how we would go, averaged 9.25 per km so was really happy with that- we went wrong at one stage as well, then a girl we met en route fell off so we were delayed a bit over that. Tash, A s horse struggled a little at the end, but A didnt push her, just let her find her own pace which is just what you want an endurance horse to do. She was far more sensible than Basil who would gallop his heart out!!
