well in the warm up arena i couldnt fault him, he was working from behind into a really light contact, he got a bit strong at times but he was in a snaffle rather than his gag so i wasnt too bothered coz i could stop, start and steer!!!!
called into the arena pretty much on time and set off walking round the edge, he seemed a little on his toes so i pushed him into trot to settle him and went well until we got to the corner and spooked at something in the lorry park and bolted accross the arena trying to bronc, i lost both my stirrups and very nearly came flying out the side door. well after that i had no chance. he wouldnt go near the judges car, shied away from letters, wouldnt listen to me, wouldnt settle down and then the judge bipped the horn and we shot forwards, startight lines were out of the equation along with bend, suppleness, control, steering and pretty much everything else.
the only good thing about the test was that it was a square halt at the end although when i saluted i realised that the judge was in actual fact my course manager, i am glad i found this out at the end and not when i went in or it would probably have been even worse than it was.
the comment on the end of the test was: well managed, he was full of it. he needs to be more relaxed and settled in order for you to direct him. well done
our marks were mainly sixes with 2 fives and 3 sevens coming out with 59.57% so it wasnt too bad but i dont think i will be trying stressage again any time soon.

Well, i tell you thats pretty good marks considering naughty pony. Well done Jen for managing him and giving it a go. Perhaps you could get a different horse for the next time? At least he worked well in the warm up, perhaps he knew he was going into a competition and was trying to run away lol
