blossoms arthritis seems to be getting a bit worse now. she is starting to really stiffen in her hips and we think the arthritis could be starting there as well.
at the moment she is on liquid devils claw and half a sachet of danilon (if she is having a bad day) in a handful of chop and a veteran mix (it contains high levels of glucosamine) and i was wondering if there was any other supplements or feeds that anyone knows of that wont break the bank or make her gain weight or energy.
didnt ride her today just gave her legs a good wash and scrub and trimmed her up a little bit, although i didn ride her in from the field bareback!!!!! i would have felt cruel tacking her up and taking her for a ride with her being so stiff at the moment.

DB has found what seems to be an excellent supplement which really helped Murphy! Its called Flexadin - if you pm DB she would maybe be able to give you some more advice and info about the flexadin.

Poor Blossom, arthritis is p***s! i use a combination of Devil's Claw and Naf Superflex and this does seem to help AJ's hocks but it does get quite expensive Zx

Jen, sorry to hear blossom's arthritis is getting worse.
I use Flexadin supplements for Murphy and although I thought they made a big improvement initially, I'm not so sure anymore. He is still clicking with even very light exercise, although he doesn't seem to be dipping or in pain, I'm not sure the supplements make much difference. I'm too frightened to stop using them but I'll be honest, they have become very expenisive and after I use my this tub I will be looking into purchasing a cheaper alternative as I just can't afford almost £100 per tub.
Sorry I haven't been much help. I hope you get sorted hun.
