I have been out on my own again to day, twice in eight days. Really good experience again. He is funny tho' really calm in the woods with the tracks to canter on and getting wound up with a short neck going past parked cars on the way home. We had a tractor to deal with and he didn't flinch. I guess it's just 'cos he is homeward bound. It was ok not any control issues. I love hacking my horsey out! ;D ;D ;D

It sounds like things are really working well for you and Pete now and that you are getting out and about all over. I would love to hack out by myself one day but goodness knows if/when that might happen.

I am so pleased for you Sol, you should be so chuffed. Hacking out alone (well your not really alone with the horse for company) really is the best thing.... you will build such a fantastic bond with Pete. He sounds absolutely terrific.

Thanks Jane that is it, you are never alone. It is what I have dreamed of doing. My friend calls her horse her psychiatrist 'cos out on her lone hacks she tells him everything. It really is a lovely experience.
