;D ;D ;D Took my boy in the woods on my own and had a canter!Doesn't sound like much but quite a big deal for me. First time I have cantered out on my own! It was great, he was really good. Rode round on the buckle most of the time. Things going well touch wood, don't want to jinx myself!

Hi thats great you must be really pleased. It puts you on such a high doesnt it when things go well? Especially when its something you do for the first time. I had a fun ride as well I went out with a friend just walking and trotting round the lanes but we took the horses down to the ford where they had great fun splashing each other. We got soaked but they really made us laugh. Wish we had someone there to video them!

your confidence is really growing now, but being able to go out on your own give you such a massive boost and independance.
Glad it went well, extra treats for Pete i think (but only an apple if he is turning into a fatty)

Thats great news Sol. Nothing like being able to wander on your own. I like riding with company but sometimes just me and my neddy is all I need.

Sol, you are living my dream - cantering through the woods (all by myself). Well done for taking the plunge and I hope it gives you the confidence to continue solo outings ;D
