We went a little further today exploring the quaint local villages. Ended up being out for nearly four hours! Tired boys tonight, they are going to have a couple of days off now. We did get off them a couple of times once because we had to untack the big cob to get through a narrow gate! We also had an incident with donkeys. The silly horses are so scared of them. Donks were still and calm our boys dithery and on their tippy toes. Silly sausages. It was a beautiful ride and mostly at walk so no harm done I hope. I am so tired now, but very happy.  |

I love rides like that, but having to untack to get through a gate... that is almost above and beyond the call of duty.

Lovely riding. Just how narrow was that gate  I love a nice long pootle. And I feel your pain with the donkeys. We have a field of about 10 up the road and despite Eddie not minding them the first few times, she has now decided they are sabre toothed - bit of a pain as we have to ride past them every day! Its the one thing that really sets her off every time! |

It was funny Pete wasn't doing anything naughty just hilarious how shocked he looked. The big cob was a different story, he really was scared and properly spooked his mum. Good job I could persuade Pete it was safe. I am so lucky he is open to suggestion and trusts me I guess?

Glad you had a lovely hack, it was great weather here yesterday for it. Was supposed to go out with auntie but completely ballsed it up as forgot to arrange a lift to get over to her house :-( How dozy am i??  Hope you are not too sore from sitting in the one position for a long time! |

Sounds lovely...we only managed a quick hack so as to avoiud the ER after the other weekend when we got caught up in one and it blew their peabrains  Untacking to go through a gate lol...was it a gate you should have been going through...  |
