has anyone tried these? i ahve a synthetic saddle and hate that leathers always seem to end up slightly different lengths, even with rotation, but are they bulky under leg?

I remember that my old horses synthetic leathers took ages to soften up, like they didn't stay flat against the saddle when there werent a rider there! But other than that they were great:) They can be bulky but it never bothered me, and I'm sure I have seen different thickness sizes in a catalouge? May have been width come to think of it..or may have been just day dreaming!

I found that leather leathers (lol!) can mark synthetic saddles. I've never had problems with my synthetic leathers poking out, but I have heavy flexible stirrups with metal cheesegrater treads - so they probably hold them down!

savvy's saddle came with synthetic leathers and they were the most awful things ever and they were way too long for me (damn tall people) soon switched back to leather

Ceej- they now do ones that are single thickness, the fastener takes a bit of getting used to but they are quite comfortable- mine are Wintec and are ok Brig

Thats the ones- they feel strange at first as you feel there should be more there but I quite like them now.

i have never had a problem with my sythetic leathers sticking out although when a horse at the stables had them as they were being changes loads for different people to ride him they split really quickly in which case it was cheaper to invest in good quality leather leathers than spending loads on constantly replacing synthetics if you get what i mean, although his new leather leathers are way to long for me and i have to ride with a wrap round coz im short like savvy!!!
