Was jumping Chompy in the arena today and turned a corner a bit to sharply and put all my weight in my outside stirrup to try to maintain balance but WHOOOPS! his saddle slipped around his middle and I ended up on the floor. Serves me right for not checking my girth was done up tight enough before I started jumping! What I had done was put it on his 'normal' holes, when it needed to be up at least another 2 holes. So moral of the story is don't get complacent and always check your girth is tight enough before you start jumping...Doh

Timely advice to me as I am bad about this. I actually find tightening the girth from the saddle very difficult. I am glad you are ok of course and very impressed that you are jumping Chompy in your own arena
