...of our amazing 3 hour hack in the snow - it was awesome On saturday, me and my sister took Faith and George (a friends horse who Chloe is riding) out into the 'almost countryside' for a 3 hour walk and trot hack and it was wonderful! We passed lorries, buses, busy traffic, crossed motorway bridges, wandered passed fields full of people making a racket with their guns (!!!), whistling farmers, tractors, fields of sheep, negotioated roundabouts and junctions and all sorts of potentially scary things and both the ponies were brilliant - didn't spook once! The only time they got a bit silly was on the way home when the whistling farmers were chasing sheep in our direction an the horses jogged a little, but other than that, they just plodded on and seemed to enjoy themselves They didn't even bother about us frequently jumping on and off to get around large sheets of ice, or having to jump back on at the side of the road...those ponies are clever Some of the views we saw of the snow-capped moors and lightly frosted trees were breath taking - I really wish I'd remembered my camera!!! Will try to remember it next time...just thought I'd share my excitement

Sounds absolutely wonderful, it is far to bad here to go anywhere much at the moment.

Flea, I know! She surprises me all the time! I can't believe just how far we've come sometimes too...all thanks to my friends' sensible horsies and a few good mates (and sister!).
