thats it i have just convinced my oh that sams bits have to come of has anyone any ideas how much it might cost no a days as last time i had a colt gelded was £50 i know its a lot more now but i have no idea and i cant ring the vets till tuesday

i think it depends on where he has it done and how. my aunty wanted hers done outside but the anaesthetic didn't work so he had to go to a centre to have it done. that was quite expensive

Can't help with prices but I have assisted at two boys' parting from their jewels. Extraordinary process. Didn't seem to hurt them either and the healing process was without complications. The only yuk was chucking the balls to the dogs afterwards .....

I watched one that the vet had got the mix of immobiliser and painkiller wrong, horse quite obviously felt everything but couldnt move. Quite horrific and dont want to watch another! brig

Think anything between £80 and £100 round here (south east!) Well done for convincing OH to get them off...I'm sure he will thank you in the long run lol
