They do sound lovely but am not in the market (wrong size) I am always buying shoes the wrong size - I find something lovely in the sales and think it doesn't matter that they are too big and then go through days of agony and discomfort. And too big is as bad (if not worse) than too small. I actually am a lot more fussy about my riding footware.

Well, I'm pathetic Fi, as I really don't know what to ask. There is a pair on eBay at the moment, seven bids have taken them up to £21 (from 99p start) with four days to go. I'd be OK with waiting to see what the final bid - or just offer what you think is fair. But if you decide not to, don't worry, I'll put them on eBay eventually. I still have the box and tickets. I'm really sick about it - they are lovely boots and I'm going to have to get another pair

2 questions 1) are they brown or black? and 2) are you normally a size 5 and they come up large?

2 questions 1) are they brown or black? and 2) are you normally a size 5 and they come up large? Fi, they are brown. I am usually a size five and the foot is fine - they are actually very comfortable and easy to put on due to the full length back zip. It's just the height and width that are wrong for me. Too tall and too wide. I apparently have short legs (sob) and I measured my calves in the wrong place so I thought I needed a wide but in fact do not have enough muscle in the right place. How dumb is that?

I was very tempted but I've just measured my calf and they would be too wide for me. Probably too long as well. I'm a cob too! ;D

I usually do need a wide boot - where are you supposed to measure?
If they fit would you take £25 + P&P?

Fi - the eBay pair that I was watching went for £44 and a second pair (worn four times like mine) went for £50, so I think I'll stick out for £40. if that's too steep for you, I'll bung em on eBay ;D

I think i'll pass then, simply because after I have added P&P from france it will work out not dissimilar to buying a new pair.
Thanks anyway, and good luck with teh ebay sale, you never know you may even get more than you paid for them, especially if you stick a link on the page to the most expensive new pair you can find...

Ive got some of these and they are well worth the money, I ended up getting a second pair in brown, they usually feature in sales for around £50 but you have to drop on.
