had one of these - not real gold obv - and savvy worked really well in it, does it taste nice or is it just her being spoilt and wanting gold! she seems to like her sweet iron snaffle but doesn't work half as well in it.

they are sprenger bits - supposedly softer/warmer than normal stainless steel. I think they work well, but with all good things they cost a fortune

Yeah they are meant to taste sweeter and makes the horse salivate more than normal bits. I ride a horse at the riding school in a cherry roller.

I bought a KK ultra sprenger bit for Moomin as she has a really small mouth and I thought it might be more comfortable for her.
She does goes nicely in it, its a really mild bit. She salivates loads when wearing it.
It wasn't cheap - about £85 but she seems happy in it and that's what matters.

I have a neue schule hanging cheek for Gem, which she quite likes. Just recently ive been using my friends straight bar happy mouth loose ring snaffle which she appears to like, so i might get one...
Some gold bits are just coloured to be that colour, but others might have copper in.
