posting in the jumping thread!! I am very chuffed with myself today as I did 5 tiny jumps!! Yes, it may sound funny but i cant believe i did it. Actually, its even more amazing to me when I think about getting bucked off after a jump and then finally getting the courage to to 5 jumps! Am not holding my breath though!! Although, i have a kind of hope that now ive started im going to be able to get out and do more over the winter and that ill be able to do it! They were only very small crosspoles done at trot - he did trot over most of them but did a proper jump a few times and i was grinning away! Also, im also very proud of myself because the last time i attempted a small crosspole of that height he stopped in front of it and then scrambled over it, thanks to me not being sure if i wanted to jump it or not but sort of hoping he would! Its a big leap to even have the determination to want to do it! im so proud of the big fella too for looking after me and putting up with me being a numpty on his back.

Flea thats great. Doesn't matter that they were small, the fact is you've faced your fear and tackled it with confidence. Remember my first 'I jumped' thread? - it was a log about half a foot high, but the elation you feel to know you've done it is amazing. Looking forward to pics of a clear round event.....

well done flea, just play around at a height you are comfortable at before putting them up, don't overface yourself and you will be amazed at how quickly your confidence grows
