Found a funny lump thingy on Princess hind leg on the inside where the tendon and splint bones are (hope im not showing myself up here on naming parts of the horse! - im supposed to know them all given that i got a badge on it for the Pony Club!) down near the fetlock - it seems to be under the skin and is a sausage shape and is hard, you can move it about a bit but it doesnt seem like its something under the skin that will move e.g. grit or something, its quite big about the length of half your finger.
Also it is a bit flaky on top.
She had an allergy thing when we got her and vet said to put mite ointment on it and it seems to have cleared up - this was in feb/march time - so perhaps this is an after effect of it?

bit confused as you say where the splint bones are but near fetlock and splints are not near fetlock. can you get someone who has some knowledge to look at it? does it go up and down or side to side?
certainly does not sound like an allergic reaction but it could be a lot of things.
