sorry no idea about the short boots but I love love love my long boots- I had the Sportifs but didnt like them as much.
they are not cheap but if you look after them they last well- now the problem with the zips seems to be sorted.

Just a word - MH boots tend to come up large so make sure you try them on before buying from the internet, for instance. I bought some mucker boots (do NOT get the lace-up ones as I did, they are a pain - velcro is much better) and had to come down a full size (but they are still too big).

yes I have some, racs is right, they do come up large - I did buy mine on the internet and they are a bit big. I think they really are winter boots to use with thick socks though! and they will be LOVELY in winter. They are well made and feel strudy and are the sort to get comfier the more you used them. Good for hiking in too and I hiked in them for three days in scotland and they didnt rub or hurt at all - a quick brush and they look like new (although I recommend spraying them). They do feel a bit bulky for riding but you get used to it and they look stupid with chaps as although they look quite small around the top in the pictures they are too bulky for chaps (unless you want to look like your ankle is really swollen!!) I dont like them as much as my old Ariats (which have virtually fallen off my feet now but they dont do the same style anymore and I dont really like the look of the newer ones. I would say they are worth the money of you are looking for boots to use at the yard and away from it and if you like riding in bulkier shoes. they do feel like they will last for years and years!
